Ten teens who are passionate about aquatic science got that chance during shedd aquarium’s high school marine biology (hsmb) program in the bahamas. we’re writing to you from miami, having just returned from a week in the bimini islands.. With shedd aquarium’s high school marine biology program you will learn about unique bahamian flora and fauna, research techniques and important environmental issues. then you will travel to the bahamas and live aboard shedd’s research vessel, the r/v coral reef ii.. The aquarium's program offers students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of marine biology and island ecology through lectures, field study and experimentation. following an introduction at the shedd aquarium, participants spend six days living on a research vessel off the coast of the bimini, bahamas..

Shedd’s high school marine biology program is designed for the student who wants to explore marine science as a possible career. students are introduced to marine biology and the scientific method in a classroom setting at shedd and then apply this knowledge by conducting research in the bahamas on shedd's live-aboard vessel, the r/v coral reef ii..
